About the production
A young woman is desperate for fame and a way out. A young man pines after the woman of his dreams. A successful writer longs for a sense of achievement, while an actress struggles against the changing times.
In an isolated château in the French countryside, dreams are in tatters, hopes dashed and hearts broken. Dionysus Theatre’s inaugural production brought Chekhov’s tale of ambition, love, loneliness and fame to the stage in a new adaptation.
